Countless Americans live each day under the stress of heavy debt, or on the verge of bankruptcy. In order to help people understand that they are not alone, and that there are debt solutions available to them, Attorney Donald Golden of The Golden Law Group in Brandon, Florida recently launched a new podcast, Fresh Start For Life. Podcast episodes will typically feature a special guest for an interview, or Don will just talk to the audience about financial issues. However, the first episode was a little different because it focused more on Don, the host of the show.

Meet Attorney Donald Golden, Your Host

Attorney Golden started off by giving some background about himself. After all, if listeners are going to trust their host, then they are going to need to feel like they know him. Born in Maine, Don went to Michigan for law school but ended up in Florida, where the job market was stronger at the time. He soon met the love of his life, his wife Tamara, and decided Florida was where he would always call home and where he could really flourish as a bankruptcy lawyer helping people in need.

“I just really want to see people live the financial life of their dreams.” – Attorney Donald Golden

With a board certification in consumer bankruptcy, he has earned the legal authority to say he is an “expert” in bankruptcy law. Attorneys without board certifications are actually not supposed to claim to be an expert in their field.

In 2002, Don founded The Golden Law Group, but he had been practicing as a bankruptcy attorney for a handful of years before. He has also spent the last 14 years as a statistician for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he has lent his statistician talents to the University of South Florida and the Orlando Apollos.

What is Fresh Start For Life?

“The podcast is here because I believe we have a good message, I believe we have some valuable information that will change people’s mindset about debt and will help them to live a better financial life.” – Attorney Donald Golden

As an experienced and trusted bankruptcy attorney in his communities, Don has been able to make a positive impact on the lives of many. Yet he could only reach people who came to his office for help. In order to show more people than ever that there is a way to enjoy life after bankruptcy, he decided doing more was in order. He actually was influenced by his business coach and what might have been divine intervention to think up new ways to help more people, not just those in Florida, which brings us to Fresh Start For Life.

In future episodes of the podcast, Attorney Golden will touch upon all sorts of ways for people to find financial stability by getting out from under overwhelming debt. Bankruptcy might not be right for everyone, but there are many alternatives. The podcast will touch upon everything under the overall bankruptcy umbrella to educate listeners and instill them with hope that there is always a better tomorrow if you look for it.

Fresh Start For Life is more than a podcast, though. Don has formed an official website under the same name, which features online courses people can take to learn to rebuild their credit to score to 720 after they file bankruptcy and to learn how to budget and better manage their money. In fact, bankruptcy clients who come to his law firm are enrolled free into some of his key courses once their bankruptcy cases conclude, so they have an added chance of future success. Don is hopeful that other bankruptcy lawyers will be influenced by his work on the podcast and the website, to the point that they, too, start to consider other ways they can help their clients achieve future success.

“What I really want to do is teach other bankruptcy lawyers how they can do the same thing.” – Attorney Donald Golden
