Relief Fund Direct Deposits Start This Week

By The Golden Law Group

The $1,200 checks many of you are relying on and have been waiting for should start hitting your bank accounts this week.  If you filed your tax returns for either 2018 or 2019, were entitled to a refund and gave you received your refund via direct deposit, you will be getting your money first also via direct deposit. It could be as early as today. If you don’t get your money today though, don’t worry. The IRS is sending this money out in batches. Everybody who is entitled to receive a direct deposit should have their money by the end of next week.

If you have filed your tax returns for either 2018 or 2019 but did not receive a refund via direct deposit, you will be receiving your relief funds via a paper check. However, it will take much longer for you to receive your check, as much as several weeks longer.

If you are not required to file tax returns, the IRS has created a portal for you to enter your direct deposit information to help you receive your funds as soon as possible. Here is the link https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/non-filers-enter-payment-info-here.  I recommend you do this as soon as possible so that you get your relief funds soon rather than later.

Together, we will get through this.
